These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of The Daily Fuckup, including the website, accounts, comments, newsletters, tip submissions, and related features. By using the site, you agree to these terms.
Using the site
You may use the site for lawful personal, journalistic, educational, and informational purposes. You may not use the site to spam, harass, impersonate another person, interfere with service operation, scrape or overload the service in a harmful way, evade moderation, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malware, or violate applicable law.
Accounts and security
If you create an account, you are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for maintaining the security of your login credentials. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account unless caused by our own security failure. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these terms or create legal, safety, or operational risk.
Comments and community participation
Comments are welcome, but they are subject to moderation and community rules. We may remove, edit, delay, collapse, or refuse comments that are spammy, abusive, defamatory, unlawful, duplicative, deliberately disruptive, off-topic, or otherwise harmful to readers or the site. Disagreement is allowed. Abuse is not.

TDF does not knowingly publish false information. Anyone alleging otherwise should identify the exact statement and produce evidence showing that it is false. Verified material errors are corrected publicly.
Editorial discretion
The site retains full editorial discretion over what is published, updated, removed, corrected, summarized, or highlighted. We may revise headlines, blurbs, metadata, formatting, moderation status, or article placement at any time.
Newsletters, RSS, and alerts
If you subscribe to email or RSS features, you understand that delivery timing, frequency, and availability may change. We may pause, modify, or discontinue mailing lists, feeds, or notification features without notice.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the site's text, design, branding, logos, layouts, and original editorial material are owned by or licensed to the site and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. Limited quoting and linking for commentary, criticism, and news discussion is generally fine, but wholesale copying, automated republishing, or misleading reuse is not allowed without permission unless a legal exception applies.

Accounts, recovery, donations, and privacy choices
You are responsible for account credentials and accurate registration information. Email verification and password-reset links are security controls; reset links are single-use and expire. TDF may suspend accounts used for abuse, impersonation, spam, unlawful activity, or attempts to interfere with the service.
Donations are voluntary, do not buy coverage or editorial influence, and are not represented as tax-deductible. Optional analytics and external-media technologies are controlled through the cookie preference center. Advertising remains disabled until a separately configured Google-certified consent platform is available. Privacy requests are handled under the Privacy Policy and applicable law, subject to journalism, expression, security, legal-retention, and public-record exceptions.
