One day before the argument, the Justice Department filed a separate complaint against D.C. bar disciplinary authorities. DOJ said the filing was tied to President Donald Trump’s executive order ending what it called weaponization of the federal government and to a presidential memorandum on abuses of the legal system and federal courts.
