The earlier UCLA finding was announced on May 6, 2026. DOJ said then that its year-long investigation uncovered evidence that UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine intentionally selected applicants based on race, and that the school violated the law by discriminating in admissions. The Yale finding came on May 14, 2026, when DOJ said Yale School of Medicine had also intentionally selected applicants based on race.
