Federal prosecutors in the Eastern District of Texas say Ronnie “Chip” Austin Jr., 56, of Allen, was arrested on June 4, 2026, and appeared the next day before U.S. Magistrate Judge Aileen Goldman Durrett. The Justice Department says Austin was charged in a criminal complaint with making threats against the President of the United States and transmitting threats in interstate commerce.
