After Ivana Trump’s death, New York AG agrees to adjourn Trump depositions
The New York attorney general’s office agreed to adjourn depositions scheduled for July 15, 2022 of Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump after Ivana Trump died the day before.
The three had been ordered to give sworn testimony in the office’s civil investigation into the Trump Organization’s financial dealings. In earlier filings, Attorney General Letitia James said the office was seeking their testimony as part of that probe.
The delay was tied to the family death and did not end the case. The investigation continued after the scheduled testimony was pushed back, and the office later filed a fraud lawsuit against Donald Trump, the Trump Organization and other defendants.
